I am saddened that my spark has not kindled any fire.
Don't be sad. I introduced the Holographic theory partly in response to your early reference to 'The Matrix.' The Wachovya brothers partly based their film plot on this theory and of course science fiction. But the point is the same: the world we see is not real. It is a hologram, an illusion, projected by a 'master programmer.' Our senses cheat us that it is real. Of course Hollywood needs excitement so they had to have kick ass fight sequences; a bunch of villains and a love interest to spice things up. The simple fact is you are the Master programmer; the software is 'Consciousness' and the hardware is the Singularity. It was a favourite film and I watched, nay, studied it several times over. On the face of it, it is about escaping the realm to attain higher status. I agree about your observations about it though I don't agree with it. Inside out, upside down, black is white. How?

Do you take it for its entertainment side or for its intrinsic side? Consider this, brother Symbols MORPHEUS: The Matrix is everywhere, it's all around us, here even in this room. You can see it out your window, or on your television. You feel it when you go to work, or go to church or pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth. NEO: What truth? MORPHEUS: That you are a slave, Neo. That you, like everyone else, was born into bondage...... kept inside a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind. Symbols, the truth. What is it?

You haven't answered my question

Science can cheat because it depends on the senses.

Symbols,
The rabbit hole, my brother, the rabbit hole.
My answer was couched in that brief dialogue which, I might add, is the gospel of the movie.
I filtered out the entertainment aspect, the explosions and what not and studied it. Knowing. Knowledge. Swallow the pill - and "know the truth".
Like brother says, senses can cheat because they are prone to illusion and science can cheat because it depends on the senses.
Inside out, upside down, black is white - only that the renegade does not rely on senses, does he?

If renegades don't rely on senses, then they rely on non-sense.

What is there to rely on that he is not in yet another Matrix? The word of Morpheus? The pill? Was there another matrix outside the matrix? Who will give another pill? Or an antidote? What role has sense in all this? What about non-sense?

ren·e·gade /ˈreniˌgād/ noun a person who deserts and betrays an organization, country, or set of principles. adjective having treacherously changed allegiance.
Sense is to be made reliable; non-sense, sense.
The 'antidote' is the Self.

How do you know there was not another matrix? What I know is that we were not shown if there was another matrix in the movie. There could have been one. Perhaps then, brother Wakanyugi can shed more light on this? Wakanyugi, yoohoo, you have swallowed the pill? Tell us what this is.

The 'antidote' is the Self. Yes, I am a renegade. I was born a slave, into a prison. MORPHEUS: That you are a slave, Neo. That you, like everyone else, was born into bondage...... kept inside a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind. I escaped. Who says non-sense is bad? And why and how? If sense can be deceived by illusions is not sense then bad? As far as I can tell, non-sense is is not afflicted by the plagues of sense.
