And here is Jean Grae with kill screen
Jean is Abdullah Ibrahim's Baby girl making Daddy proud:

This is rebel shit - Mojave rock
Got polyglots, who'll molly whop you 'til your body pop
I'm never sick, when my temperature drop, it's 7 Up
105.6 hell, praise the rock
I ain't a savior, just your neighbor like amazing Peter
Minus the spider bite, the webs, the Aunt and Uncle neither
But save the reasoning, the need to tuck the dynamite
To even up the nonbelievers
Man humble season was cool, sure
Now I'm seeing North Shore faces, are y'all sure
Turn around and walk four paces
I'll walk forth five, y'all 86'ed in all cases
I'm the figure 8 sideways, always ageless
Y'all in the club aimless, blind, spades shit
My time and space mix, record a rhyme on spaceships
You way behind like you caught a ride on a slave ship
I'm the modern anomaly, brazen Amelie, faceless
Representing the basement, raised up, cage less
Limitless, reminiscent of rapists
Boundaries, got none; rock, paper, shotgun
Achtung, baby not an A.D.D 80's baby I'm not from
Rated G catering eras
I was the type of New Yorker rhyming at night in the park
And hiding a knife in hair and even though Mama was careful
I would be fighting so often, finding the light in dark
Was time and just life in the mirror
Reflection infinite, Escher
In the end, we are who we are, Ke$ha
Late night dive bar, sipping on a vesper
I'm Bond and the villain in one time bomb, test her
Dressed mismatch like confederate soldiers
Told ya best to think fast, this level is over
I'm going for the kill screen, fistful of quarters
Billy Mitchell, I'm a fiend; jumping barrels, famous sauces
Was a preteen prodigy, plethora of knowledge
I don't mean like Albert Johnson, I mean Jean was on to college
I'll never respect a comment from a novice
I'll never be just a common denominator, I promise
I was nominated flyest so you'll see I'll take us higher, the defiant one
The phoenix from the fire, hell mouth leviathan
Only get killed at the end of time so I'm buying some
This is heavy metal - Ryerson
Or Reitman & Mogel '81 either is right man
Life spans eternal ever since I touched the mic stand
Put the mic in my right hand; left hook, goodnight man
Rest good, hype man, Jeannie take it easy
Like bikinis on some white sand is on me
I'm calm b, sipping on a zombie, Condé, Nast
No bath salts spilling in my flask
I'm appealing to your class
Laugh now get shot later with sedatives
Medicate to torture you some more so aww, you better live
Edifice, living in a world full of Oedipus
It's all relative, melanin, nepotism
Tell the kids hell is in, check the prisons
I wanna teach particle physics business
Just as a better business class, syllabus rise up
You wanna get your philistine thighs up
My abilities high as f***, still willing to try luck
I wish I had guillotine garage doors
Mass carnage, barnyard parties, animals, carnivores
Trash, garbage, Skarsgård hotties, mandibles, parting jaws
Bleeding y'all dry of convictions, the art of war

Wrong on two counts: it's not Friday; it's not rap, but heck this is not the average song with lyrics...

Sometimes I shave my legs and sometimes I don't
Sometimes I comb my hair and sometimes I won't
Depend on how the wind blows I might even paint my toes
It really just depends on whatever feels good in my soul

Chorus
I'm not the average girl from your video
And I ain't built like a supermodel
But, I learned to love myself unconditionally
Because I am a queen
I'm not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what I'm wearing I will always be
India Arie

When I look in the mirror and the only one there is me
Every freckle on my face is where it's supposed to be
And I know my creator didn't make no mistakes on me
My feet, my thighs, my lips, my eyes, I'm lovin' what I see

Chorus

Am I less of a lady if I don't wear pantyhose?
My mama said a lady ain't what she wears but, what she knows
But, I've drawn a conclusion, it's all an illusion,
Confusion's the name of the game
A misconception, a mass deception
Something's gotta change

Now don't be offended this is all my opinion
Ain't nothing that I'm sayin law
This is a true confession
Of a life learned lesson
I was sent here to share with y'all
So get in where you fit in
Go on and shine
Clear your mind
Now's the time
Put your salt on the shelf
Go on and love yourself
Cause everything's gonna be all right

Chorus

Keep your fancy drinks and your expensive minks
I don't need that to have a good time
Keep your expensive cars and your caviar
All I need is my guitar

Keep your crystal and your pistol
I'd rather have a pretty piece of crystal
Don't need your silicone, I prefer my own
What God gave me is just fine

Chorus

Quite a great anti-misogyny song that reminds of that age of hiphop golden era where women were used thus. To some extent even up until now, tho its become more acceptable in this day n age.

You can break the rules any time, as long as you are talking about India Arie<<<< The President of all free girls who do not care about weaves, love headscarves/dreadlocks/natural hair.

@Chief Guest @Dahatre word..

I am, I'm everyday people
See I am, I'm everyday people

See I was resting at the park minding my own
Business, as I kick up the treble tone
On my radio tape player box, right
Just loud enough so folks could hear it's hype, see ?
Outta nowhere comes the woman I'm dating
Investigation maybe she was demonstrating
But nevertheless I was pleased
My day was going great and my soul was at ease

Until a group of brothers started bugging out
Drinking the 40 oz, going the nigga route
Disrespecting my black queen
Holding their crotches and being obscene
At first I ignored them 'cause see I know their type
They got drunk and got guns and they wanna fight
And they see a young couple having a time that's good
And their egos wanna test a brother's manhood

So they came to test Speech 'cause of my hair-do
And the loud bright colors that I wear
I was a target cause I'm a fashion misfit
And the outfit that I'm wearing brothers dissing it
Well I stay calm and pray the niggaz leave me be
But they're squeezing parts of my date's anatomy
Why, Lord, do brothers have to drill me ?
'Cause if I start to hit this man they'll have to kill me

See I am everyday people
See I am everyday people

I told the niggaz please let us pass, friend
I said please cause I don't like killing Africans
But he wouldn't stop and I ain't Ice Cube
But I had to take the brother out for being rude
And like I said before I was mad by then
It took three or four cops to pull me off of him
But that's the story y'all of a black man
Acting like a nigga and get stomped by an African

You see I am everyday people
You see I am everyday people

The moral of the story is
You better look very hard on who you step into
As you might get killed or shot and it's not worth
Africans need to be loving each other and you know

Mos Def on Jill Scott's Love Rain

[Mos Def]
I stretched my arms towards the sky like blades of tall grass
The sun beat in between my shoulders like carnival drums
I sat still in hopes that it would help my wings grow
So then I would really be fly
And then she arrived
Like day break inside a railway tunnel
Like the new moon, like a diamond in the mines
Like high noon to a drunkard, sudden
She made my heart beat in a now-now time signature
Her skinny canvas for ultraviolet brushstrokes
She was the sun's painting
She was a deep cognac color
Her eyes sparkled like lights along the new city
She lips pursed as if her breath was too sweet
And full for her mouth to hold
I said,"You are beautiful,distress of mathematics."
I said,"For you, I would peel open the clouds like new fruit."
And give you lightning and thunder as dowry
I would make the sky shed all of its stars like rain
I would clasp the constellations around your waist
And I would make the heavens your cape
And they would be please to cover you
They would be pleased to cover you
May I please,cover you,please.
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. - Muhammad Ali🐝

Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Say yes, say yes 'cause I need to know
You say I'll never get your blessing 'til the day I die
Tough luck, my friend, but the answer is 'No'

Why you gotta be so rude?
Don't you know I'm human too?
Why you gotta be so rude?
I'm gonna marry her anyway
