International journalists in Lamu not hearing anything so seems Al Shabaab playing their propaganda games.
Seems Al Shabaab are lying for sure. A local journalist saying he is "in Lamu and we are not under any attack. According to police, an officer discharged his weapon accidentally. So let's stop the rumors.."
Huyo officer ako on "very high alert"....kidole kwa trigger.[/quot
He/she is a brat, safety precautions!!!!
That actually is not such a strange occurrence when in high risk areas and the weapon bearer panics and freezes.

I understand that the GSU is now searching nearby forests for the attackers. Good luck in finding anyone.
Great men are not always wise, neither do the aged understand judgement...

How many GSU's have been deployed?
The forest is a huge one Dodori forest, Boni forest and Kiunga forest....It will probably take them forever to finish searching since a helicopter cannot be of any help
If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

Two cars including an AP Ford Ranger registration GKB 595J, are among vehicles that went missing following an attack by suspected al Shabaab militia in Lamu.
Unidentified gunmen attacked a lorry in Mkunumbi near Mpeketoni on Wednesday and killed two people, regional police commandant Francis Wanjohi had reported.
Wanjohi said the police vehicle that went missing had been on patrol but that military officers were combing nearby forests for it and the officers who were on board.
Police have not identified the owner of the other vehicle, a canter registration KBY 074H, he said at his office on Thursday.
Wanjohi said a joint police force is pursuing the attackers whom he said might use the vehicles to smuggle weapons.
He had said the gunmen had not been identified but that the incident bore similarities to attacks by the Somalia-based al Shabaab terror group.
The Star established the gunmen were targeting at least 10 buses that were operating that evening. A source said they were after medical supplies and money.
The heavily armed attackers used the Poleni village route which connects to Hindi since other parts including Mokowe and Mpeketoni are heavily guarded by Kenya Defence Forces soldiers.
