They better do something about the quality. Bata local probucts are pathetic.

We should borrow a leaf from Ethiopia, whose Leather industry is booming. They have many investors from Italy, and I wonder why we cant have the same. They have very nice leather products.

We need more of those. There is definitely very high demand for quality leather shoes and other products in Kenya. In the Habesh companies are outdoing each other in the industry. We need to wake up!

@thimioni, that is true about Ethiopia, this is one solid thing they carried on well from their colonizers.

This isn't new it's been there since 09 hivi (disguised in puma holding) @kabz TRUE . the bata boots local of VEEEERY LOW QUALITY cost. 60% more compared to imports and last about a yr while imports lasted 3-5 yrs. do the maths. some other items is same case. Hii ni tenderpreneurship moja wagwan. the bigwigs who even forcibly retired a complaint of quality. our "mboys" are suffering with low QUALITY items but expected to deliver. I don't like this unless QUALITY is prioritized. (if your friends or relatives there waulizeni
