Good Wazuans,
I have some proceeds from a recent sale, I want to plow it back in the stock market for a period not more than one year. I know in another thread the two above were floated as good vehicles... Still which between the two is most agreeable with Wazuans? Pray Pray

Am looking keenly at KPLC, though i have always been heavily in Cables.

So, KPLC is where am looking at mostly.

KPLC

But as a word of caution... People buying stocks with less than a year target usually end up defiled by the market!

KPLC has been sub rights issue price for more than 3 years. Cables has refused to rally past 20.00 for a longer period of time. If your getting in these stocks, think 3-10years minimum

19.50 was a rights price and so many bought thinking it was a good deal.

What was the right deal?

Is the government's "socialist interference" in the energy sector to blame or its just the usual Stock Market behaviour?

Asi! nani ameachilia izo zote? @wondergirl the energy sector is set for a bull, you can as well balance your portfolio with both or even add others (kk and Transcentury). But since you asked about kenya power and ea cables i'd vouch more for kenya power.

@ Madam Guru,
Thanks for your response, You once told me to pick Pan Africa Insurance, I did, needless to say I benefited. I will not be abused, anything I buy for the short term, I can also hold for the long term.
@Pesa Nane,
How I wish its me!!
@Jawgey,
Thanks for the insight, food for thought.

Kenya power and KQ are two stocks very much prone to jubilee govt manipulation and interference. Exercise caution and have concrete basis for plunging into them

Very untrue, KQ has trouble dealing with competition while KPLC has trouble dealing with gov. interference.Between the two, I would rather KPLCDrool .

KQ has been whacked with a huge VAT bill thanks to Jubilee gov't
And who controls JKIA? Jubilee gov't
Who decides on security within Kenya [tourism]? Jubilee gov't

I am staying away from both. See my post on this matter.
