Im considering buying a piece of land on sale by stima investment near the proposed Lamu port.
What do you guys think of this offer considering the security situation and land issues in Lamu

Stima Investment has identified land within Lamu environs which is ideal to invest in.

The land is approximately 13 km from the Mokowe town and its right opposite the new Lamu port, (one of the key components of the LAPSSET project) it’s easily accessible by an all weather mar rum road. The land locality quantifies it for commercial developments and is set to appreciate exponentially.

The land is being sold at Kshs.425, 000.00 for an eighth of an acre. Prices are inclusive of road network, title deed and a barbed wire fence

@ngapat, this is the best time to buy lamu lands since the insecurity will reduce the prices to below market value. The real potential of lamu is very high considering impact of lappsett .
Since purchase is for speculative reasons, the insecurity will not affect the purchaser who lives in nairobi.

I agree with you. Despite the unfortunate events, substantial work has been done to support the lapsset project. Notably, KETRACO transmission line and completion of the Port HQ. The pipeline works will soon commence and the regional heads of state have this as a priority project. The oil discovery in Turkana will only make the project more viable. My take is this the best time to purchase land in Lamu; of course ensure you get land with proper title deed.
