I used to think so but am begining to doubt it. He seems to have lost his hunger plus Djokovic seems to have his number.
I hope losing #1 ranking will be a kick to his backside.

Nadal will definitely surpass Federer, if RF could not win jana then I doubt he will ever add another one!!!!

Have to agree with McR. Given his age, Nadal will, barring another serious injury, surpass 17. Also think that jana's great final was likey RF's last chance.

@Famooz, yesteday's was the Djoker's 7th slam.....

RF has had an almost injury-free career which might explain why he's still competitive at 32. Nadal's (28 yrs) injury issues have been well documented, can he stay fit long enough to win four more grand slam titles.....i don't think he can especially if you consider the fact that players such as Murray, Dimitrov & Nishikori appear to be on the rise. He still also has to contend with Djokovic!

Without the injuries Nadal could probably have surpassed RF by now, @TAZ, he just needs two per year for two years, possible in my opinion.

Tennis fans! This thread has not been updated all of US tennis open.

Serena looked fierce last night,dismissing Makarova in just an hour...mopped her up like she needed to be elsewhere-not a fan of Serena but she was just exquisite.

Kei Nishikori with history on his raquet;1st Asian man to reach a semifinal of a major?. He has taken out Djoker decisively

Anyone following Wimbledon ATP semis between USA's John Isner and South African Kevin Anderson?. I thought Anderon would be easy meat for John after that grueling match vs the King of Wimbledon but wapi. 5th set at 11-11 with no let-up from either side. Kevin is a tough kid and so far has withstood 44 aces from John.....i am shitting bricks as i have my good money on John even though i would be consoled if Kevin gets it. Maybe a first Wimbledon for an African?Pray

Both have the power to hold on....they can go on and on. Isner has really improved and so has Kevin
