Pls advice. ever since i bought some mumias sugar shares on 7th Feb my account at CDSC still shows 'PENDING BUY'. How long does it take for the system to register that ua shares r indeed yours?

Does it mean u cannot trade in the shares within, say, 2 days?
Ua help appreciated.
Conventional thinkers waste time building shelters when they are unnecessary and then have no shelters when they need them the most. Socionomists do the opposite.

It takes three days to register shares in your name...

Most brokers shut down your trading platform when in active for more than 3 months....

Most likely the shares are in your brokerage account or otherwise the order you placed expired before it could be executed at the desired price...

If there is any problem its most likely with your broker and not CDSC!!

@guru surely... anyway, monday morning... BIDS do not reflect at the CDSC. A 7th FEB (9 months old)issue should be sorted easily at the brokers.

I think CDSC is the most incompetently run parastatal in Kenya. Surely should updating one's bank details take more than a month? I spoke to someone who has been trying to convert their share certificate to electronic and its now over 5 months. Kwani what sort of people do these organizations employ?

Totally agree @Murchr,6 months now for a colleague grown tired of all the back and forth, has decided to try for the last time and seek legal address if it fails.

The problem could be the different registrars; I requested to transfer from cheque receipts to bank transfers, however I still receive cheques for some of my dividends while others direct into the bank!

As far as iam concerned, the term "pending buy"means the shares you wanted to purchase have been paid for awaiting transfer.

The registrar advised that i contact my broker who asked me to fill a form, its now going to the 3rd week since the forms were taken to CDSC eish? I thot filling in the forms online would work for an org trying to claim that they are digital.

@murchr CDSC is not a parastatal... It has a horrible shareholding structure all the same, they are a law unto themselves and accountable to no one....

NSE should acquire them!
