I am sure we are laughing at that generation... right?

This was just 57 years ago

not saying anything but perhaps we need to ask ourselves the following question - "if that was indecent and inappropriate 57 or 107 years ago"... what do we consider to be "indecent and inappropriate" now that will the generation of 2064 or 2114 will be laughing loud hard about our strange view of the same?

Or, given the structure or pattern of changes in moral consideration, how should the mind be structured to promote change and human growth?

Sodom and Gomorrah were annihilated, because of men clamoring for the angels. Maybe some sins are greater than others. In anycase, the year you quote might not come to be, if gayism becomes the norm.

Times are not changing. It's just that illiteracy levels are dropping very fast.

Masukuma,

We are hearing the initial whispers of a great tumult.

Quote:
“Pedophiles are not simply people who commit a small offense from time to time but rather are grappling with what is equivalent to a sexual orientation just like another individual may be grappling with heterosexuality or even homosexuality.”

He went on to say, “True pedophiles have an exclusive preference for children, which is the same as having a sexual orientation. You cannot change this person’s sexual orientation. He may, however, remain abstinent.”

Whether true or not this might be the next big thing. May I draw a response from you now or do you prefer to wait till it comes?

It's people who change.

God is His Word and He never changes. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Isn't it better to be anchored in a Rock that is steadfast instead of being constantly blown by every wind that passes by? Jesus Christ is that Rock of Ages.

really? what is your premise to declare that? what if I could prove to you what we call the "word of God" has changed over the times? you can only authoritatively declare that God is His Word and He never changes if you have many points of references not one....

I am sure many people didn't want it - sio? now that it's here... HARAFU? I am sure may people went online and declared 'THE END OF THE WORLD IS HERE" totally oblivious that in ancient greece the same nonsense was there... that Socrates we quote... had a band of students... including the other one we like quoting called Plato that he used to screw! The greek army was encouraged to screw each other to build bonds...and in pretty much the same way as it is now in Afghanistan... "Women for children, boys for pleasure, goats for sheer ecstasy"....

Socrates and Plato are so-so. But you should have studied a more recent relevant history.

I am glad you asked. Yes, halafu?

It is being posited (by calm objective minds, not your feverish anti or pro) that perhaps the greatest danger of this decision lies a little distance beneath the surface. After the equally momentous decison of 1973 (do your homework here) there arose the contemporary reactionary political movement known as the ‘religious right’.

Yes, John McCains and his ilk arose from that and loudly voiced the battle cry to ‘take America back for God’ – but not through evangelism. Theirs was through politics and government.

Is today's the repeat?

One thing you can be sure, you should expect a reaction on the part of the religio-political zealots, except this time, the battle cry to ‘take America back for God’ will be even more intense.

Yes, political pressure to legislate and force religious observance.

That is the halafu you should have known. The decision goes beyond your nose and is not the end in itself. It will have spin offs and reactions.

Halafu?

What's it to you? it's like having beef over a law to shoot Kangaroos and you live in main land africa.

I am baffled at your inability to see the link.

Maybe it's because it has not yet materialized. The nexus I am talking about is that there will be political pressure to enforce moral observance, the geography being immaterial.

For practical example, you do have a born again deputy president don't you. He is a politician. He attends religious services where they talk about these things, don't they? Do you think they, in those meetings, are indifferent to what happens in far away America?

Good for you! I will be on the sidelines on this one... you guys can pick fights and make declarations.... politicians are politicians they will sing to the tune of their voters... kinda reminds me of some old joke

Quote:
An old country preacher had a teenage son and it was getting time the boy should give some thought to choosing a profession. Like many young men his age, the boy didn't really know what he wanted to do and he didn't seem too concerned about it.

One day, while the boy was away at school, his father decided to try an experiment. He went into the boy's room and placed on his study table four objects: a Bible, a silver dollar, a bottle of whiskey, and a Playboy magazine.

"I'll just hide behind the door," the old preacher said to himself. "When he comes home from school today, I'll see which object he picks up."

"If it's the Bible, he's going to be a preacher like me, and what a blessing that would be! If he picks up the dollar, he's going to be a businessman, and that would be okay, too. But if he picks up the bottle, he's going to be a no-good drunken bum, and Lord, what a shame that would be. And worst of all, if he picks up that magazine he's going to be a skirt-chasing womanizer."

The old man waited anxiously, and soon heard his son's footsteps as he entered the house whistling and headed for his room. The boy tossed his books on the bed, and as he turned to leave the room he spotted the objects on the table. With curiosity in his eye, he walked over to inspect them. Finally, he picked up the Bible and placed it under his arm. He picked up the silver dollar and dropped into his pocket. He uncorked the bottle and took a big drink, while he admired this month's centerfold.

"Lord have mercy," the old Preacher disgustedly whispered. "He's gonna run for Congress."
