Can there be political independence without a defense force. The person without an immune system?
There's obeying orders, where will these orders come from? How will they be understood?
Knowing one's self and the enemy is vital, how many wars can an army of the ignorant win? Every soldier must be optimally resourceful.

though it's true, Karangi should not have made that statement in public. Now just what are the soldiers thinking of what he thinks about them? He should also encourage the bright Kenyans to join areas in investigations, forensic & strategy etc.. i.am.back!!!!

Alexander the great was a philosopher, so was Genghis Khan, or Askia the great of Songhai. An army is driven by ideology, empires rest on ideologies. Sun Tzu doesn't demand obedience but intelligence and wisdom from his readers. You can't win a war without wisdom and knowledge. 'Putting two and two together'.

This is true. He'll ask the commander to define 'truth'. After that he will ask him to show how it 'manifests' war, and why it would eventual 'exhibit' peace Hata mimi ningetolewa the first day. How can I obey orders to hit a sick lady with a rungu, who is being nursed in her hostel??

On such circumstances I understand @Tycho, Is 'wisdom' (out of experience) synonymous with 'brightness' (sharpness)? I believe my grand father was very wise, but was he bright?
