The punch propelled Gebreselassie by a second at least. And he deserved it. Hii maneno ya kupita tu mtu kwa finish line after a long race sio mzuri aka Tharaka-Nithi votes.smile

I think the best runners to watch were John Ngugi, Daniel Komen and Kenanisa Bekele and Rudisha last year. What is your opinion.

I think you should add Eunice Sum and Hellen Obiri in her current form in your list.

The two girls must have taken aromat. Kwanza this Eunice Sum. Where was she hiding before?

Gabre had that annoying last minute rush to the finish line. Tergat was done the same in the 10,000 meters championship. Luckily Tergat was a seasoned athletesmile

I agree with some of those. I would add

1. Billy Konchellah: He had an unmatched finishing kick over the last 200m. It came from the fact that he was also a aprinete who clocked 45.39 in the 400m when he was 18.

2. Pamela Jelimo: The way she attacked the 400m to 600m section of the race and left the field gasping for breath was phenomenal.

3. Sammy Wanjiru: This guy would push the pace even in conditions of high temperature and humidity. Perhaps the most talented marathoner ever. With discipline he would have broken so many more records.

4. Samson Kitur I do not think Kenyans have given this man the appreciation he deserves. His PB in the 400m is 44.23. Winning a bronze medal in a sprint event is not easy. The way he kicked the last 100m was amazing because he always looked out of contention at the 300m mark. He won bronze at the 1992 Olympics behind two Americans who were likely doping. This was the era when USATF helped their athletes dope to compete with the East German.

Check out the Samson Kitur profile. There is an amazing video of how he carried the Kenya relay team from 6th position to silver medal.
