I have always been skeptical about this "Speaking in tongues"

looks a lot more like mass hysteria! Sad

That is it, mass hysteria and mostly attacks the weaker sex...when the praise leader stops speaking in ]her tongue then all of a sudden everybody stops as if the they shared the malaikas!

d'oh! d'oh! d'oh!

Early this year during our annual anointing service, the bishop was categorical that due to the large number of worshipers to be anointed people should not fall down when anointed coz this will create a jam, Everybody was anointed and contrary to the norm nobody fell down.
Your work will form a large part of your life the only way to be trully satisfied is to love what you do.

What does Paul say?
1 Thesa 4:13 "But we don't want you to know about those who suffer. Those who're dead already, will be risen. Those of us alive, we'll not die but rise to the sky!!!

I say this is rediculous. And Paul is the one who started Christianity!

What is Jesus (pbuh) saying?
John 5:24 "Belief me... then you (must) pass through dead and be risen again"

Quran 42:21 "Or have they other deities who have ordained for them a religion to which Allah has not consented"

@muriel let me tell you my little unimaginable story. Another time I was meeting another friend from foreign European country. I was with my "saved" friend. And we had a bit difficulty conversing with the foreigner, and I ask my friend since he is saved, I have an idea, in Jesus's name, he can speak in tongues, can't you? He said not like that, he cannot speak the language of the foreigner!!!

It was so funny, how could he not speak in new tongue? I told him he can't say that as a Christian. You know as a Christian, a "born again" for that matter, and as one who reads Mark 16:17, you can't say that you don't have a iota of faith!

speaking in tongues is not just speaking Kisamburu and kimongolia:
Quote:
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them.

5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7 Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? 9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,[b] 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” 12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”

13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.

You do realise they were not using tongues to conduct their normal business but to praise God?

@lonest! right now we're talking about this "tongues" of nowadays. If there is anything I've quoted there which is a lie, let me know. When you attack, please don't pick trash, something which is not true and use that to attack. When you want to attack me, or any religion, please pick something authentic, and use that. Not things from Maina stuff! Also quote your sources for verification.
