On Mpesa, buying airtime yet the intention was to send money. How does that really happen by the way? What causes that confusion?

Send Money is the number one item on Mpesa...If there was a mistake, I would expect people who erroneously wanted to buy airtime but they sent money instead. But the reverse is just wierd...plus majority I have heard of will buy airtime for self and yet they wanted to send money to someone totally different.

The amount of money you can send if you wanted to buy airtime is normally little and thus nobody ever complains about it.......I think it happens more than the latter!!!

It's more like reflex and I fell victim.
Wanted to withdraw from mpesa but I ended up buying airtime worth 10k.I almost collapsed not knowing that the transaction was reversable.
