Mombasa remains an appalling place for tourists, bombs or no bombs. How do we expect tourists to visit Kayole or Dandora surely? As the plane is taxying to the apron, you get this wonderful beautiful sight of a massive slum right adjacent to the airport.......just outside the airport gate are trucks upon trucks and tractors, a huge cloud of dust or alternatively, mud and water paddles.
