On another note , why does'nt Kenya send juniors to Belgium anymore. When Timbe and Johana Omollo went to Belgium as teens, there were are least 4 or 5 other youngstars selected from mitaani.

Thanks all for the updates. Managed to catch the game after that goal. We conceded a very soft goal. I hope Kahata recovers from that injury/knock in time for Liberia. Why did Amrouche not field Wanga? The striking looked blank when the midfielders are not the ones on the ball. SMH. Who was that who waffed off a clear shot on goal as played through by Wanyama? I also missed Owino's runs today. Did he play?

Why does a team start wasting time at 80mins when the scores are 1-1?

to make sure they disrupt the other team, to prevent 2 goals going in.

It seems you were not a football fan in 1998, when DR Congo surprised Burkina Faso in the last minutes of the 3rd place play-off match in Ouagadougou.

Kenya will play Liberia next. They barely scrapped through. Lesotho was leading 2-0 but Liberia scored a crucial away goal.

Tanzania also through after tying Zimbabwe 2-2 in Harare. Livid Zim fans hurled bottles at their players as they went to the tunnel.

All in all, still not sold on Kenya. Struggling to beat Comoros

We are meeting Lesotho in the next round who were 2-1 aggregate winners over Liberia.

CECAFA region this time is LUCKY.
Rwanda beat Libya 3-0 to qualify 3-0 on aggregate
Tanzania drew with Zimbabwe 2-2 to qualify 3-2 on aggregate
Uganda beat Madagascar 1-0 to qualify 2-2 on away goal rules
Kenya drew Comoros 1-1 to qualify 2-1 on aggregate

HOWEVER,
South Sudan drew Mozambique 0-0 in KHARTOUM but were eliminated 0-5 on aggregate
Burundi were humiliated by Botswana in Gaborone.

NEXT round in August,
Kenya VS Lesotho
Uganda VS Equitorial Guinea
Tanzania VS Mozambique Mambas ( Neighbours BTW)
Rwanda VS Congo Brazaville

So, how many of this 4 CECAFA teams will cruise to the group stages to join Sudan and Ethiopia who are already in Groups A and B respectively?

Kenya can, Uganda will, Tanzania and Rwanda are in tricky places.
