I think the problem most of us religious folk aka apologists have has is attempting to defend something that took place a long time ago in a foreign culture committed by people who had different ways of looking at things than we have today. nothing is static - life changes. Did he marry a 9 year old... yes! interpret it the way you want. if some of those acts were committed today - what would you do? if you heard that a random man from Kibera married a 9 year old - how would you comment? of course you will be disgusted BECAUSE HE OUGHT TO KNOW BETTER. so even for us...
