So in summary, Muhammad saw, lusted, and commited adultery with Zaynab. That's not where the beef stops. He went on to include in his 'divine revelations' that adoption isn't allowed in Islam. This self-serving revelation was just for purposes of exonerating Muhammad from the obvious incest he was engaging in. Funny the revelation came AFTER he had married Zaynab and the Arabs were wondering how a man who claimed to be a prophet could do so.

Now for David. I agree with @267. While he wasn't receiving as many revelations, he sure had the gift of prophecy just like his predecessor Saul at some point had. His prophecies are referenced in the NT innumerable times. David sinned. A lot. But he prostrated himself before God in repentance. Infact, Ps 51 is one of the most useful parts of scripture for a repentant heart! He humbled himself before God. Not so for Muhammad! His revelations were mostly self serving as I've illustrated. He would sin and cover up his sins with a 'revelation'.

And let me humor you. Lets say Muhammad did adopt Zayd.... Where does God talk about adopted children and incest??

Now David is a good example of how gracious our God is. He was a sinner, big time. But deep within, he sought the Lord earnestly. He turned back to God and God forgave him. If David was in today's society, I doubt we'd ever forgive him. We'd call him hypocrite(he was a worship leader engaging in all those sins!). We'd refuse to even sing his psalms! Yet God saw the heart, the thrust of Matthew chapter 5 , and approved David saying he was a man after God's own heart!

There is an enormous difference in the reproductive anatomy of a 9 year old and a 12 year old. That's a scientific fact.

A clever God wielded his powers to place a baby into a 12 year old's womb, while a prophet stuck his organ into a 9 year old to sow the seeds of his loins.

The delicate nature of women is dehumanized in Islam to this day, physically and otherwise. Women are of lesser value. Is it true that a woman's testimony is worth half a man's?
