:) Good to see you guys are following #TembeaKenya on twitter and I hope you'll actually tembea Kenya for real!
It's a great initiative and I wish more Kenyans would venture out there more..
As for the rates etc.. It will take a while for them to go down, especially for hotels, because honestly it's an investment for the owners as well and they didn't invest that much to then spend 100yrs getting ROI plus they also have to pay their staff & you cannot reduce people's salaries eti coz you want to be patriotic. Other factors eg park entry have a limit as to how low they can go,because that money is poured back into conservation otherwise we'll not be having parks and wildlife in a few years to come. Transport is also a factor,as we don't see fuel going down to like half price soon.. Packages come with many costs, which cannot just be sliced overnight
So,in short.. Develop a saving habit, and plan ahead for your holiday. Even if it's once in a year. Most people who don't travel don't do so because they cannot afford it, it's because as Kenyans WE seldom plan ahead. Do your homework, know how much you need to travel to your dream destination, then get to saving. Happy planning and happy #KutembeaKenya
Nevermind what haters say, ignore them til they fade away - Just live your life
