Dont we have people named Emmanuel?

Apart from confusiion that @guru says, hakuna ubaya. The name Jesus does not mean God. In Colossians 4 you will see an apostle named Jesus Justus.

Emmanuel simply means... "Gods word made flesh"

Why is it blasphemy? God does not want children of any culture being named Allah? Think about it - Papua new guinea has 650 ethnic groups in one of those cultures Allah may mean 'lovely goat' - why shouldn't they be able to name their children 'lovely goat'? just because some culture in the middle east decided that their deity will be named the same? of course you know there are japanese cities that have unpalatable names!! I wonder what happens when a person from that city comes to east africa and is given a form to fill and one of the fields is 'place of birth' - but I digress. My point is... Names have the meanings you give them based on your culture. Yesu, Jesus, Allah, Jehovah, Zeus, Ngai, Omwami, Molimo only have divine meaning based on the human beings in those cultures. I don't think God really cares - he has been around for billions of years done many big and small things to care if a random human who will only dwell for 70 years is known by the same moniker as that which he instructed some arabic fellow 1400 years ago to refer to him by.... I don't think he is that petty!
