There is this caller calling from QUEST Holdings and he says they can help with my HELB loan. I have not paid it since I cleared in 2003 and reason is hakuna kazi. I have been tarmacking for the better part of these years and they say they can help me with it. They say they are at International Life House 4th floor. Are they to be trusted ama nikujikaranga ?

Are they to help you with money to pay or what? They sound connish and you will easily loose money whereas you could have negotiated with HELB hata kama ni 1K you will pay they will be okay with it. They penalties can still remain..

The QUEST guys will 'defraund' you.

heheh that is how some of those Angloleasing companies are dry frying us. They prey on countries that have issues getting finances and they offer to deal with the suppliers but before that the poor countries have to sign boll crushing contracts

Conventional thinkers waste time building shelters when they are unnecessary and then have no shelters when they need them the most. Socionomists do the opposite.

My exact query!

They're buying the low interest debt that you have from HELB for profit. It's business.

Then one day they will come to your house and auction you off. Something HELB is unlikely to ever do

Then why would you want to sell the low debt (and nobody is chasing you to pay) to them at higher debt rates!

Yap, agreed. But the certificate can show a balance and is allowed so that they strart deducting once employed. It doesnot have to be that the loan had been cleared!

I have interacted with Quest somewhere in my day to day work but I will not say where, how or with whom. Having said that, I do not know of a company that is buying a loan to sell to HELB. Maybe they are the first....but I would not advise anyone to become their experiment.

1) Talk to HELB about it
2) Wait for the next amnesty and then pay off your loan if you can
3) Pray about it (and I am not joking)
