I just get a beep from some 911 spource that an Executive estate is being demolished this morning as we speak along Mombasa road.
Anyone?

I think its the KEVEVAPI story.
What I see here is State fat cats who sold the land illegally to developers & made billions.They now want to repeat the whole cycle....demolish residential houses....KEVEVAPI gets the land again...fat cats sell it out illegally...again!And the cycle continues.

My Nairobi geography fails me. Is this the predominantly cushitic estate? I'm thinking of the one that had problems with the Southern bypass.

the demolitions were at the new executive housing estate being built but have been stopped thanx to sonko who was on ground.ofcourse anxiety among residents of bankvilla,diamond park etc not knowing what might happen but sonko promised no further demolitions since the matter is in court na anafuatilia.

Seems Sonko is the saviour for mot of Nairobians. It makes no point to demolish buildings in a country having issues with making financial ends meet.
