What some European countries have done is that they ban media from reporting on court cases before they are concluded. That avoids the whole situation of trial by media, in the Court of Public Opinion.

I think he has good heart. He should start directing his efforts to right courses, and avoid dropping "suspects" at night. Meybe he will be an icon like Tergat.
