Day is tomorrow. Hmmmmn, I've decided based on all the KDN talk, I'll try attend and ask about 'wireless butterflies on undersea cables'. And this new venue, preferred the older AMREF one but maybe it's easier to get to - if I can find it that is...

So much has been said about new opportunities that new data delivery technologies are bound to present. It gets sometimes confusing. I'll be there to hear it from the horses' mouths. I hope it will be objective as opposed to sheer marketing.

Agreed sir, marketing might be a downside. Did you see how this week we got 2/3 managed centres which you can't see on ground or visit apart from the press? It's becoming harder to tell truth from fiction in telecomms

Its interesting to note that with most new things in this country, so much is promised but very little delivered. I agree that the cost of providing a service reduces with time as the providers recoup investment and technologies used become cheaper but in this country it just takes too long before service costs come down to levels affordable to the Mwananchi

@muganda, i attended the KAIG event. The speakers delivered some eye opening insight on investment opportunities in the ICT sector. Its a pity that the turn out was so low.Sad
parting shot- Dont just invest in land and property. ICT offers wonderful opportunities and very good returns if you have about 1-2 million to invest and its definitely the industry of the future
