The disruption of services came in the wake of the April 11 Court of Appeal decision that barred GOtv and StarTimes from broadcasting content from the three media houses without their consent.
I thought GOtv & StarTimes were obeying a court order?

They obeyed a court order that supposedly violated a contractual obligation they had with their clients.

These stations should not be concerned with decoders any company can provide eg Access Kenya Safcom Airtel etc. Technology changes with time and these decoders will have to be changed too. What the likes of Nations Standard etc should be working on is creating content. Just like the way we have BBC news, BBC travel, BBC documentaries, BBC Nature, BBC Drama etc. The production department should be gearing up to create worthy content not just broadcasting. Interesting times ahead.
