The dead had been consuming the illegal brew all this while in the same dens, then some 'bright' Kenyan decides to make the brew more cheaply but more lethal and what do we have, more than 65 dead in different parts of the country!!!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

See, this is one thing I have never understood about this country, when are we as a people ever gonna take responsibility for our own actions? Why should Mututho resign because some fool somewhere made a CONSCIOUS decision to go and take illicit brew? Were there guns held to people's heads? I don't think so. You do the crime, you do the time. Well said @Vallerie, we never want to take responsibility of our actions always wanting to blame someone else. That is Kenyans for you.... If we were to look at things from that point of view, then we also need to ask ourselves if we need a government at all! The partakers of these brews are obviously on the wrong, but the Government has a responsibility to protect its citizenry from wanton killing. I bet you that all these drinking dens and the distribution chain is known to government. Instead of stamping out such illegal schemes that are no better than death traps, the police collect their cut from them on regular basis for protection. Dunia ni msongamano..

Now duplicate our obsession with blame games and the same is replicated everywhere, including security, someone needs to answer the questions who are the killer (or is it brewers?) as well as the bombers.

The chiefs know the owners of these dens. The owners know the "bright Kenyan" who was supplying them with that poison. Get the "bright fellow" ,feed him/her his own poison then feed his/her remains to hyenas

The brewers are to blame for this and if the prosecutors fail to go after them then they will also be to blame.

Where was it registered as a safe-to-drink alcohol? Do they have a KEBS Cert? Do they pay tax? Greed kills. Greed has has killed them in their tens. Greed by the brewer. Brewer by the local administrator who has always looked the other way after something little. Greed by the road blocks past which the distributors pass when doing their deliveries.
