I spoke to someone who runs a company called Herbal Garden ltd. sometime last year about Aloe vera production and the guy told me that an acre carries a max of 4000 crops at spacing of 3ft*3ft. He said that one seedling goes for ksh 80 delivered at your farm but one has to pay in full before delivery. He also said that they buy the produce from the farmer at 30sh/kg and there was an annual fee of ksh30,000 for managing my farm. It takes between 18-24 months before the first harvest.
I found it too expensive and there was no written contract which I could hold the guy against incase he decided he didn't want my aloe vera so I opted out. If you are interested, let me know so that I can give you the guys contact.
