Kenya risks being locked out of a key fish market due to poor hygiene despite Sh648 million being allocated to clean up beaches.
The money, which was donated by the European Union, was to be used to clean fish-landing sites along Lake Victoria. The project was to include sites in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
However, six Kenyan projects that were earmarked by the EU to improve the fish processing value chain have stalled. (
