From the articles Im reading, Brazil has not even started constructing the main stadium nor the athletes village. This could be a disaster of huge proportions for IOC. I am not sure what they were thinking when they chose Brazil. A country that has little or no pedigree in hosting global sporting events. But you are right that the tournament will still be played. But it may be chaos. There may be Protests everywhere and fans may find it difficult travelling around the country. The recent accidents at construction sites was due to last minute rush. This incompetence is even costing lives.
