Is there anything for Kenya to learn from the capsized South Korea ferry. Within minutes of sending out a distress call, choppers were flying over the sinking ferry. Just one dead

Just one dead @coolbull, before you write about kenya learning, please note, 1. Have a look at what is refered as ferry in S.Korea and what is refered of the same in kenya. In kenya we have motorised birges refered as ferries. 2.Have look who were the first to arrive in the Korean case. In kenya, incase of any accident, the first to arrive transform themselves to thieves relieving the victims of their valuables instead of offering first aid. 3.In Korea the choppers are ferrying rescuers and rescue co ordinators. In kenya the same is used to collect the VIPs to come and issue statement of condolescences. ukiona choo kwa ndoto usiingie, ni mtego!

His office said there were three confirmed deaths, including a female crew member and a student. There are fears that the final death toll will be high, after the 6,825-tonne ship listed sharply, capsized and finally sank all within two hours of sending a distress signal at 9:00am (0000 GMT).

Only Kenyan's criticise Kenyan's without facts. As of 30 minutes ago 4 dead and about 300 missing.

Quote:Deputy headmaster in charge of 236 missing students commits suicide Kang Min-gyu is found hanging from a tree, while prosecutors file for arrest warrants against the ship’s captain and two other crew members“Surviving alone is too painful while 200 remain unaccounted for. I take full responsibility. I pushed ahead with the school trip,” his note said. “I will once again become a teacher in the afterlife for my students whose bodies have not been discovered.” After the police cut down his body, he was taken across the road to the Jindo funeral parlour and cremated. His ashes, according to his wishes, will be scattered on the ocean where the Sewol sank.

well.. Personal responsibility? Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

I beg to disagree. Show me a people who don't bad mouth their country and I will show you a liar. EAfricans imo are the only people who bad mouth their countries but will not easily trade their citizenship for another. Kenyans badmouth only amongst themselves, but if faced with a challenger, they will gang up and cannibalize the 'badmouth'. That tells me that it's intended for the good of us all...

Just one dead 1. It is good manners to read the story and not just the header. 2. Nation is not an authority in matters happening outside Nation Centre. 3. Wazua has no 'delete post' button. Pesa Nane plans to be shilingi when he grows up.
