They probably would have been made to circle in a holding pattern mpaka huyu jamaa afike but perhaps after a 16 hour flight there was not enough fuel left....

One would think that the shortest route to the US is via west africa i.e drawing a straight line from Nairobi to Everett, US. But the shortest route is via Greenland and Iceland since the earth is a globe.

Thats enough is not a good definition in fact thats an hogwash explanantion; the correct explantion is that the Earth as we know it is an oblong globe!

An oblong globe is still a globe....

Apparently it is holding at the end of the runway awaiting PORK so that it can taxi to the terminal and be officially received.

This I object. When the 777-300ER arrived PORK went to receive it.
Now this Shame on you It is just a plane and KQ is a private company...I think Ethiopian have been flying one here so the plane is not a new phenomenon as such..The Monister of Transport should have sufficed
May be if Boeing had chosen KQ as the launch customer, it would have been an event worth the gravitas of a president.

It's not just a plane but a US$211.8M (Ksh 18.2B) investment by a company where the govt is the single largest shareholder.

The MH370 had its radar switched off from inside the a/c so there is no way it could have tracked using simplle systems like this Flightradar!!!
Portfolio: Sold
You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

Infact Flightradar24 gave them the last position for the MH370, but Malaysian authorities instead decided to go and search for it in Australia!!!!! And even if the pilots switched off the transponder, bado the plane could have been detected by the external military or civil aviation radar....including radar of the numerous US warships patrolling that part of world.

US $211M is the rack rate. KQ must have received discounts due to late delivery, probably even larger discounts if the sale was hidden as part of a mega order by KLM.
