@Obiero the specifications are clear but issues concerning where the additional funds to finance the expansion will come from was what Kiongozi required. Am sure one day Obiero will be smiling and linking the doubting Thomas to this thread to see what they missed. Now let me ask What is the book value of this company?

I want to get back on the plane but only after the current CEO has left and we see what the new one does to improve the financial outlook. I am not a fan of the CFO either. And most of the board. Perhaps I will not board until 2015!!! And that is OK...

The CFO is really campaigning to be CEO after TN leaves....he might just be...and it's not only you who doesn't like him, even the employees want to hear non of it...

Kenya in Talks With Standard Bank, AfDB on Airport Project Funds - http://bloom.bg/1gxGKDm

Quote:
Kenya’s government is in talks with four companies, including Standard Bank Group Ltd. (SBK), Africa’s biggest lender, about funding the construction of a $653 million airport terminal, the Kenya Airports Authority said.

The state is in discussions with the African Development Bank, China Development Bank Corp. and Sunnyvale, California-based AAE Systems Inc. about funding 85 percent of the project cost, Managing Director Lucy Mbugua told reporters today in the capital, Nairobi. The first phase of construction of the new terminal in Nairobi will begin in July and is expected to end in 2017, she said.

Kenya is expanding its Jomo Kenyatta International Airport as it seeks to boost arrivals of tourists who are the second-biggest source of foreign-currency earnings in East Africa’s largest economy. The new terminal will have the capacity to handle 20 million passengers a year, compared with the 7 million that the existing terminal, built in 1978, can process.

First KQ 787-8 (5y KZA) ready for delivery

Second 777-300ER (5Y KZY) undergoing final assembly Pic

looks like by the end of the year KQ will have a relatively young and more fuel efficient fleet. 2015 could be a good one for KQ. Current CEO will have done his bit (i.e.the donkey work) the new CEO needs to sweat the assets and keep costs in check (... and he/she gets the glory)smile
