This followed a 292 per cent growth in its loan book to Sh3.8 billion from Sh1.3 billion in the period under review, while its assets rose by a massive 202 per cent to Sh7.01 billion, up from Sh3.47 billion... Growth from a low base will give them a huge boost in the initial years but then like Equity Bank they will hit a plateau of sorts where 20% growth in PAT is seen as very good growth! Other banks will enter this space. Mid-tier in 5 years is possible. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - *to paraphrase Warren Buffett*

Rank: Member Joined: 5/7/2009 Posts: 155		I think JBB is headed for listing. The aggressiveness of its managers look like they want to eat the cake early. I however find its ROA wanting compared to the industry. PAT before valuation income is only 1.3%. Maybe their operational costs are way above or they are not able to record income from their loans...yet their non performing book is not that big. Something is missing from their management.
