What, pray do tell, did they intend to achieve by attacking churches and worshippers?Sad Sad

What is lacking from the Muslim leadership locally is a clear, firm, unconditional condemnation of these criminal acts committed in the name of their religion.

In this gap, you then watch news features of 'Sheiks' openly supporting or sympathizing with terrorists.

I agree, high handed police tactics, profiling etc do seem to target muslims but let us face it, these criminals have a common denominator for religion.

It is very very very very important the local muslim leadership is not seen to be sympathetic to criminal acts.

When these thing happen, they issue feeble condemnations while hiding the terrorists amongst themselves. Then they, like @Alphdoti try to tell us why this is a complex problem they cannot solve and why cool heads should prevail. Once things cool down, they go back to their hating on Kaffirs. One day someone will need to wield the hammer till they realize that hiding terrorists among you has a cost. That day had better be soon, otherwise I fear Christians will tire of turning the other cheek

I once came across a quote, something to the effect that when you slap a man, he turns the other cheek and when you slap that one too, he runs out of cheeks. And when he runs out of cheeks, you had better run for the hills.

It's amazing how learned people in Wazua can spread hate in this manner! And I go away for a while, and my name gets discussed!

I think people of the level of Wazua should be more sensitive. The whole issue may be intended to divide people. When did this become a religious issue. It is about rule of law and treating a criminal as a criminal.

As we speak the Police are treating this Likoni attack as criminal act and not a terrorist attack. Nobody has claimed responsibility, so suspects can be anyone even the same government themselves!

Let's not turn our country into a religious war-zone.

If you find yourself using a religious term or using religious thoughts in this, then you are no better than the makaburi fellow.

Religion will finish all of you.

The young Muslim man will say he's poor because the Christians are eating, then quote a Quran verse

The young Christian man will say there's no peace because Muslims are evil, then quote a Bible verse

The problem is that these two people, voted their own religion and their own tribe and unfortunately the politician ate. When they fight, the politician won't be there. On this particular issue, I support the politician. I too won't fight. I will leave you to fight for your religions then come back to pick up the pieces.

As for makaburi, since when did we start judging others on the basis of a mad man? The youth are already hurting moderate Muslims. Those moderates need our support. But here we are vilifying them ALL. So afadhali wanyamaze.

Be careful with your words. Very careful. Religious wars never end. There is always a verse to be quoted to continue the war. And Christians who ban mini-skirts are no better.

By the way, in 2007 there were worse pictures than the ones above. Still waiting for someone to be tried for those ones.

These thugs are not that sophisticated. If we had a good police force the detectives would have inflitrated these thugs with spies and found out who is responsible for the shootings. And this is just the beginning.

If its true that the police are treating this as a criminal act instead of terrorism then they are already on the wrong track and will not solve anything. This shooting was clearly committed by one of the terror groups. This is where the police should have informers.

This extremism could spread to other parts of the country.

Makaburi is so free out there. He shouts whatsoever he wants. Lets admit it. Kenya's Islamic political and civil society caucus is that powerful. Islamic rights now take precedence over your human rights.

Me thinks Makaburi is good for TV shows. The dangerous ones are quickly dispatched for they are the ones that are good at radicalization.

Well said.. The dangerous ones are dispatched pap!
There are two reasons in intelligence realms why Makaburi is roaming free.
1. He is already a sellout to the group
2. He is a perfect pawn. When they, recruits and radicals, coalesce around him as he is already established. It is easier to keep tabs on the organisation in Kenya. As a de facto leader, things would be revolving around him. easier for the intelligence services to monitor.
Once he becomes irrelevant....

Makaburi is dangerous. He is the type of people who go around poor neighbourhoods telling young muslims that they would be better off fighting jihad instead of rotting in majengo flat broke and jobless.

Our MPs should have drafted anti-terror laws by now instead of legalizing polygamy and other ufala.

I agree with those who say Muslim leaders should take the lead in condemning such acts. This is religious terrorism. Mungiki dont claim to do anything in the name of Christianity. But the terorrists think they are fighting Jihad. Muslim leaders need to tell them that killing innocents is not jihad.

Alma, what you have said is fine and good.

Until you realise you are talking about sunni islam. wahabism.

Now if you were talking about shia islam, who at least have a track record of coexisting with christians, as in syria, you might have a point.

Until you realise shia islam is nowhere in kenya. But not that they are the best, just a tad more accomodating.

now if you were a lawyer and your above argument won an acquittal, whatever you do, dont forget you are still a kafir.
