PROSTRATION AND PURIFICATION: THE BIBLE'S ONLY ANSWER TO PRAYER

Genesis 17:3 "Abram bowed to the ground and God said this to him......"

Exodus 30:17-21 "God said to Moses,..... "Before they enter the Tent of Meeting they MUST wash their hands and feet for fear of Hell"

Exodus 40:32-33 Whenever they entered the Tent of Meeting or approached the altar, they washed their hands and feet as God directed Moses.

Joshua 7:6 Joshua tore his garments and prostrated himself before the ark of God until nightfall

2Samuel 12:20 David got up from the ground purified himself and put on fresh clothes. Then he went to God's sanctuary and prostrated himself

2Chronicles 7:6 All the sons of Israel......bowed down to the pavement with their faces to the earth

Nehemiah 8:6-7 Then Ezra blessed God...... then they bowed down and face to the ground prostrated themselves before God.

Numbers 20:6-7 Leaving the assembly Moses and Aaron went to the Tent of Meeting. They threw themselves face downwards on the ground and the Glory of God appeared.

1Kings 18:42 Elijah climbed the top of Carmel and bowed down to the earth putting his face between his knees.

1Samuel 20:41 David rose from beside the hillock and fell face to the ground and bowed three times.

Judges 13:20-21 As the flame went up the angel of God ascended with it and Manoah and his wife fell face downwards on the ground

Ezekiel 9:8
While they were hacking them down, I stayed behind, I fell face downwards and exclaimed,.....

Matthew 17:6 When they heard this, the disciples fell on their faces, overcome with fear.

Matthew 26:39 And Jesus going on a little further fell on his face and prayed.

Revelations 7:11 And all the angels who were standing in a circle round the throne prostrated themselves before it and touched the ground with their foreheads worshipping God.....

This is very interesting, especially the part about the way Jesus prayed. I'll ask a few Pastors about it.

So what did the pastors have to say?

Will tell you once I do so... Do Muslims ever pray in any other manner? I know Jesus Christ prayed in different ways.

Yes another way is we also raise our hands held together especially when making for specific requests!

In a bid to try and understand your Holy book, please allow me to ask, is all/most of what is in the Bible's Old testament also in the Qu'ran?

To try and be brief, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all descended from Abraham and therefore the history in the Old Testament is more or less the same in the three religions..

God's word was revealed in Hebrew (Old Testament), Aramaic (Gospel) and Arabic (Qur'an) and one will realize these are the only three main Syriac languages.

As I have previously stated, the perception of Jesus is what caused the rift in the three religions..

1. Jews view Jesus as a fraud/conman.

2. Christians view Jesus as God the Almighty.

3. Muslims view Jesus as the Messiah anointed with the Holy Spirit.

The New Testament is a reporting of the life and work of Jesus Christ(No matter whom each perceives Him to be), no? His life, His words, His actions etc The decision of whom He is, is left to the reader

If that be the case, then Muslims believe in the Bible... the only thing we differ is the validity of your Prophet Mohamed, the originator of your Qu'ran.

BIBLE STUDY ASSIGNMENT
On a more Godly note…please try to judge this one…and I will be curious to know how you scored.

There are names of 16 books of the Bible mentioned in the paragraph below. See how many you can find. A minister of the gospel found 15 books in 20 minutes but it took him weeks to find the sixteenth one. Let’s see how much time it takes you. The names may be combined between words etc.

I once made a remark about hidden books of the Bible. I was a lulu; kept people looking so hard for facts for others it was a revelation. Some were in a jam, especially since the names of the books were not capitalized. But the truth finally struck home to a number of our readers. To others, it was a real job. We want it to be a most fascinating few moments for you. Yes, there will be some really easy ones to spot. Others may require judges to help them. I will quickly admit it usually takes a minister to find one of them, and there will be loud lamentations when it is found. A little lady says she brews a cup of tea so she can concentrate better. See how well you can complete. Relax, now there are really sixteen names of books of the Bible in this paragraph.

God tells us in the Qur'an to read and love the Gospel of Jesus Christ (As).

The only problem with the current Bible is the numerous amount of editing and tweeking it has undergone throughout history!

Some of the differences between the two religions are:
1. Muslims accept Muhammad (saw) as the last messenger of God as prophesied by Jesus (as) but xtians do not.

2. Muslims accept Jesus (as) as Messiah but Xtians perceive him as the God Almighty.

3. Muslims believe there was no prophet between Jesus (as) and Muhammad (saw) so we believe it was a demon or Satan that appeared to Paul while Xtians believe it was Jesus (as) that appeared to him.

4. Xtians believe Abraham (As) was to sacrifice Isaac (as) while Muslims believe it was Ishmael

5. Muslims believe in the Old Testament to the letter while Xtians do not

6. Xtians perceive Satan as an angel of God while Muslims perceive him as a Seraphim.

I think except for the divinity of Jesus (as) and accepting Muhammad (as) the rest are minor differences!

I heard that that X was some form of attack! Xtian, Xmass, Xulim? I find it amazing that yo find time to type all that, but no time to type out CHRIST in CHRISTIAN. Amazing! There is no way on God's earth that X is short of CHRIST.

Do we agree that the divide between muslims and Christians came around the time of Ishmael and Isaac? That it was from Ishmael that islam came about?

Jesus Christ did have something to say about a kingdom divided. Matthew 12:25. How can Paul have been against God, when he led many to Him, through Christ.. casting out demons in his wake? Now that you mention it, the prophesy in Revelation may already be upon us. The Anti-Christ. His war against Christians... in form of terror.

satan as a FALLEN angel. What is Seraphim and how did (s)he/it come about?
