Where I grew up, they used to say "Ihii ni cia Ngai!" Boys belong to God. Despite the seeming dangerous games, they always survived.

I remember this boy who timed their cow while it was sleeping and jumped and held on to its horns. Needless to say the cow wasn't amused. The boy spent a few months in hospital with his legs hanging from the ceiling!

The most extreme for me was to play those games where we imitated wrestling stunts. Pray

..what did he want to "discover"? Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

...the best some of us did was look for "njururi's" in streams (don't know their English name, but they are small black tadpole like river creatures) when we'd go to the forest to collect firewood so that they could bite our n***les for our b**bs to grow. Unfortunately they were so difficult to catch smile smile

...them good old days!!!!

I think the poor boy had watched those bull riding movies?

Today on NTV,a boy,got electrocuted while climbing a wall to pick a ball that had been kicked over during play. He didnt make it.Sad
Risky games.

We used to jump ropes/play bladder/kati/mkebe/hadi play was BANNED in school.Luckily we borders thoroughly enjoyed on weekends.
Some games bordered on acrobatics and gymnastics,I used to have a bandage on my knees from Jan to Dec.Laughing out loudly.I remember twisting my neck while trying an acrobatic move, smh I don't even know how I survived.
Not sure if you sang this;'Babligan babligan no 28, I went for a walk but now I stop and I break...
What was worse? our school bordered a forest so monkeys would also hit us with fruits and we would retaliate.

Those rough games made us tough.smile
