Judging by the 0.50 dividend and 1:6 bonus, share price may have some upward thrust.
Still the cheapest large-tier bank at the moment at a P/E of 8.72

I bought Coop shares in Sept & Oct 2013. I'm I eligible for the 0.5sh/share dividend & bonus? Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.

The book are still open even if you bought them today you would still be eligible, they will remain open till a certain day when the books will be closed for payments. am still looking for a copy of the results so I don't have the actual dates. fear makes people live a miserable life.

Clearly you have not been in this business for long to realise that in some counters, like EABL, bonus shares always qualify for dividends. History as for once Coop is on top of the pack. I should have been more patient on this counter but may re-enter later in the year as the price comes down after the bonus issue. Go for a business that any idiot can run – because sooner or later, any idiot is probably going to run it – Peter Lynch

Do the bonus shares qualify for dividends? Book closure date for dividend 29-May-14. Book closure for bonus on 13-Jun-14. Evidently, it will not apply to bonus shares. I see deposits grew about 8% and loans to customers about 15%. Staff costs grew a surprising 31% while Loan loss provision declined 22%. Total comprehensive income wnet down due to negative fair value changes in available-for-sale financial assets. Results http://ge.tt/73wPrwR1

Was the increase in staff costs due to startup costs for South Sudan?
