And no, they are not raking in millions in income ....hiyo ni kama 1/3 of the gross. I tell them its not sustainable, they will have to move out eventually ... buy a house and pay mortgage at least I say,..hawaskii ..wanataka kuishi leafy suburbs. Unbelievable stupidity.

At that rate it will take over 25years to recoup your investment if you bought the house. Reason to believe property in Kenya is way over-priced. For such a price, i bet rent should be like 120K per month, but am a novice in these things. Is it a must that one owns a house in Nairobi?One can choose to pay rent in Nairobi but have his own house on his 100 acre land in Kitale.This may cost him 35million and he could easily rear 100 dairy cows each producing 30 litres giving him a gross of 120k daily assuming a price of 40 per litre.Monthly this translates to 3.6m and assuming a margin of 50% he makes 1.8m monthly net and can pay rent of 250k in Nairobi and have a surplus,the other person buys a house in Karen on half acre at 50m and makes zero monthly.
