@selah,the series of events as you have updated are rather curious so I must ask: the incidents of negligence/etc etc,are these things you have observed YOURSELF or are they from information relayed by the missus?

@selah - I meant the reverse - perhaps the missus feared (or even observed) that the maid might want to hit on you....and given the trip to shags,she performed a preemptive strike. Thats what I meant. Having said that,the reverse is also very common I believe...and to a certain extent,maids do not mind - esp if they can gloat secretly to themselves that while madam has the power,she does not have it all...
