Historical Daily Data on NSE index

Could anyone be having daily data on the NSE-20 Share index from Jan 2000 to Dec 2010.I have checked the NSE website but it seems like the data is being sold at some crazy prices.

live.mystocks.co.ke will give the following. If you want the data in Ms Excel format, mystocks wont help.

@tkzee, just dug my archives and found i have for from 2005 in Ms. Excel format. Can help on half of what you want

How did u know it was for research?
Anyhow,there is this new theory on Efficiency known as the Adaptive Market Hypothesis(see the linkhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adaptive_market_hypothesis) which am trying to write a paper about.Will give the finer details once am done.
