I have some 150k which i was thinking of buying
Brit and Centum,is this wise Shame on you ?

Which other growth stocks should i look at?
With a view to selling in a year?

Thanks in advance

Britam and Centum are definitely no go zones at current price. Even Chris Kirubi who wanted to buy more of Centum has been quoted in todays Business Daily saying he is waiting for the right time.

Growth stocks to look at: CFC/HFCK, KPLC, Kengen Rights, NBK Rights

Britam needs to diversify/spread its quoted portfolio to other counters. They are too exposed on their stakes in Housing Finance and equity bank which last performing dismally in terms of share price appreciation

Conflict of interest.

Btw I've never seen CFC investment wing now SBT send out recommendations for its biz units (CFCI or CFC bank).

The article says the Kenyan unit of Continental Re made losses. How soon does Britam expect to benefit from the said 30% acquisition?

--->The Kenyan unit’s gross premiums was 1.6 billion naira ($10.2 million, Sh882.9 million) in 2012 and made a loss of 65.2 million naira ($0.4 million, Sh34.6 million), according to Continental Re Plc’s annual report.---
