I remember (trying to) playing squash there as a lad. They use one squash court for aerobics and dancing; and the other former squash court as a gym. Did they get something for leg work out (barbel squats, smiths machine etc)?

In this digital age, you don't even need to get out of your house to get a good workout. You can exercise with Fitness Games on your PS e.g. WII FIT PLUS with BOARD, Zumba Fitness (PS3, XBOX 360 and WII), Your Shape Fitness Evolved (XBOX 360 and WII U), Get Fit With MEL B (PS3, WII), UFC Trainer (PS3, XBOX 360 and WII).. All these games work up a great sweat! Currently, I know Gamechanger is selling them. They have a 5% discount deal here: http://www.offersafrica....company/gamechanger-585
Check OffersAfrica.com and look for promos, offers & Discounts from reputable businesses before you shop and Save Instantly!

For people working a 8 to 5 job, those jobs in my opinion are not good for your health.for those people loosing weight is not easy.
in fact it will take a long time to loose it permanently. it wont be easy and if its a easy you are looking for, don't bother. I have yet to see one and All end up in same place where they started. don't bother watching your weight, get on with it, the weighing scale is your enemy, avoid it at all cots. First you will gain then loose, gain, loose the cycle is endless ignore it and do your business and observe your clothes. if they start hanging, falling off you are doing fine
Getting time to exercise is difficult. Some believe its money, its Not, Time is a critical factor.
Trying to escape drinking beer and eating nyama choma with work colleagues and potential business contacts is not easy.
You get late home and fatigued where more food awaits you and T.V
My only advice try some time management in your busy schedule. you will be amazed how much time you waste being sitted.
Examples abound: Eating and drinking with buddies who add no value to your life (you know them). Watching series or movies on a sunny Saturday afternoon or all Sunday.(i am a culprit every time i put on a movie i walk until i am tired for two hours then i come back to watch the movie) Watching football in a pub so you can be up to date. If you do this buddy you are truly idle. why not be the footballer??
The other day i was calculating how much it costs to drink and eat nyama choma vis vis the Gym (which is deemed to be the most expensive) i found out the Gym to be way cheaper if you factor in the benefits of looking good and a healthier life. And there are cheaper alternatives.
A gym session 1 day on average is 500/= how much do you drink per sitting? I doubt you drink any thing less not unless you want to do a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Then travelling to meetings etc. My advice on this all carry with you a bag. In it put fast drying no-iron light gym shorts and t shirt, light canvas shoes most people hate (north star) or converse etc. it will be light to carry, occupies less space allowing you to pack other stuff. The gym clothes and shoes dry fast after wash allowing re-use. The short can be used for swimming or other forms of exercise.
Now if you plan to do a fat slim there are possibilities out there where you are left with hanging folds of skin.

Bottom Line: TIME MANAGEMENT. We waste so much time. Add that to the time spent kwa jam Yet if you entered into a nearby gym as you wait for the jam to ease, you will spend less fuel and go home healthier.

Really you leave all constructive activities to watch football? There is a business man i know who told me there is no way he can close his business to watch someone else make his money.

Plateau is the stage where, no matter what you consistently do, no results can be seen. Meaning the body has adapted itself to the exercise regime. Its always good to change your exercise patterns, in-tandem to your goals... helps avoid monotony too. That is exactly where I seem to be. Lost the first about 5 kilos pretty fast. Now I am stuck at 86 kg. Interestingly my belly is still getting flatter and my upper body toned from doing push ups and other body weight exercises. My goal is 83 kg. Try something different, cycling jogging swimming gyming etc and come thank me later. I have to say this one is working. I moved to a different exercise regime and I am now down a kilo and a half in about 5 weeks. From what I gathered, once your body gets used to a certain kind of exercise it adapts to it by becoming more efficient. So you burn less energy even when you exercise at the same intensity and the same duration - hence the plateau. I am closer to my target of 83 kilos now, which I hope to make by end month. I am considering pushing it further down to 80 or 78. It all feels so good, except the 1 or 2 minutes right after my alarm goes off in the morning and I know I have to get off my butt and onto the mat. My 5 x 10km weekly runs/jog seems not be helping anymore. I am oscillating between 77/78 kgs for the last couple of months. My target is 74/75kgs. I am not keen on body weight training for now. What can I do differently to get me to my target of 74/75kgs? Dropping single malt is not option though. Please help a brother "You've never lived until you've almost died; for those who have fought for it, life has a flavour the protected will never know."

A person's weight is a measure of his/her total energy system, something that's greatly determined by the hypothalamus. So to lose weight and avoid plateaus and move into long term gains one has to start with programming the mind, and lowering what may be called 'energy set points' like simple sugar triggers, anxiety and depression and generate comprehensive diet and exercise plans.
That way, one can be sure of lifestyle changes that will result in beauty, youth, and health.
