This is pretty scary stuff. What are we to do? I mean some of us are planning to come back home soon .Please keep your experiences flowing and advise on the dos and don'ts when going out or to restaurants/pubs. You could just save someone's life.

What's going on? If its not carjacking,it kidnapping school children, now you guys are talking about harvesting kidneys...God have mercy on us all. Nairobi is surely going down the drain.

It takes two to tango.........

@jaribu,you are right this is a grave matter. I did try to find out some facts and they paint a very sombre picture indeed.

I spoke to a senior medical officer at KNH today early afternoon. This source told me:

About 5 people had lost their lives in the last 6 months at KNH afte being drugged
The deceased above ranged between 25-45 years of age
Victims ingested the substances either on hard solid foods such as mandazi, sweets, chewing gum (nipple pia ni chakula ya adults?),etc usu. offered to passengers. For the majority though, their drinks had been simply spiked.

Mind you it is not a complete 6 months because my source has been on leave for about a month now. These are only stats for KNH,what about the other hospitals, medical centres? What about those who never made it to hospitals but perished and were simply taken to the morgues? Add the other folks - like so many of you on this forum - who have survived the drugging and you start seeing how huge the kingdom of ka mchele is.

I was made to understand the drugs come mostly via the blackmarket, easy because our Poisons and Pharmaceuticals Board or whatever, was also served the kamchele and went to a deep deep slumber.

..there's nothing,absolutely nothing really,that I can't do if I put my mind to it.
