From an eyewitness account the cop just went crazy from a dare (by Muiruri) and shot him.

I think Chepkonga was wrongfully convicted in the first place. He had no clue that Munene intended to shoot muiruri

and contrary to all the claims in the media, the brawl was over a bet in a game of pool ( and someone feeling embarrassed on being thoroughly thrashed in front of his girlfriend)
