Hypothesis No. 1
Maybe, its because its cheap d'oh!.
Suppose you have 60,000/-, you can get ~19,000 Eveready shares at 3.10/-, whilst at the same budget, you can only get ~100 BAT shares at 585.00/-.

Now put that logic to a Wanjiku!!!!!!

Hypothesis No. 2
Property value (esp. the land the factory sit on along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway). Add the scrap metal you can salvage if you close the factory.

This is just a maybe!!!!

Hypothesis No. 3
Suppose they are re-inventing themselves, and this information has been leaked to the "blessed" few, i.e. they are setting up a Condom/diapers manufacturing plant.

NeverReady is a play ground for traders. There are people who make real money from this stock. Buy - sell - make 10%; Buy - sell - make 15%. Repeat 5 - 10 times a year. Do the math.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

And the broker loves such fellows!!! They are the ones who pay for rent and recurrent expenses.

But the trader has to sell at 14% to get his 10%.

Another shitty firm being hyped by folks who want to dump their crap on unsuspecting Others. It is a disaster in waiting similar to Olympia, HAFR & Sameshit [Sameer]

History never stops repeating itself unfortunately..

I remember a time when no one would touch the "crap" i.e. safcom at 4bob or CIC at 3bob or Britam at 4bob or Liberty at 5bob or KCB at 15bob and the only reason being that the price was going to fall further and plenty of other conjecture!

Now the market is tripping over themselves chasing these stocks at ridiculous prices!

Has anyone even done a small analysis on the impact of moving into the property business will have on eveready? Could you possibly display your results here?

Will you be the one rushing to buy at 10bob after they announce a joint venture with a HFCK or an insurer??

If managing what you gave is a problem then changing business name means nothing. Meaning everedy was not able to change with technologhy and compete effectively in market hence the problem they have of selling battery when people are buying chargeable torch and redio. So if they go real estate we still see them constructing house of maringo, jericho ofafa style. Then they will say no business there and go to diapers. Inovation is what is driving companies to the next leval nowadays.

Build anything in Kenya right now and it will sell...

What is the value of eveready's land when used for real estate as opposed to producing batteries??
