Sugar vs Sweeteners. Pros n Cons

For sometime now, I have been seeing people who, for health reasons having been stopped from taking sugar, using small tablets to sweeten their tea. I was wondering if the sweeteners are healthy for the sick, would it be ok to take them in place of sugar, now that its said sugar is not "very" healthy? Do they have side effects? What are they made of?

Extracted refined sugar is just bad news for the body. Google "Health Effects of Sugar". Avoid it at all costs. Adopt natural sugars, e.g unrefined honey. Even natural sugars need to be used in moderation. If you have to use sugar, minimize the effects by consuming the sugar with something that is high in soluble fiber. By doing this, you will reduce, slow down or prevent sugar spikes in the blood - relative to how much sugar and soluble fiber was consumed. They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds.

Here we are talking about artificial sweeteners for TEA. Not those that are used in making soft drinks, confectionery etc. e.g. Sweetex that costs about 600bob for 600tabs. I know hundreds of diabetics who use artificial sweeteners (1 or 2 tabs) in their tea with no associated side effects or complications. If I use 2 teaspoonfuls of sugar in my tea, I would have added 120 calories to my diet. 1 teaspoon of sugar = 4g = 60cal. Artifical sweeteners have no carbohydrates and therefore have no calories. They also improve the taste of the tea (make more palatable), rather than taking sugarless tea. Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds.

A few decades ago, some Asian countries had little or no lifestyle diseases that primarily occurred in west, e.g. diabetes, heart disease. etc.. That was the case until the Asians began consuming western diets, which are characterized as being processed, high in fat and sugars, and low in fiber and nutrition. This is of course coupled with with other things that the modern age has brought, such as conveniences, which can cause individuals be less physically active. Now the wave has reached the shores of some developing nations. They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds.
