Nyeri in push to enact law banning polythene packaging
http://www.nation.co.ke/...66/-/c7vd7/-/index.html

Hoping that all other counties will follow Nyeri's steps on this one. It will be good for the whole country. Lets adopt to biodegradable material, so that even if someone throws it in nature, it'll just disintegrate. Environment consciousness.
They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds.

I don't think it's the right way to go. We only need to be more disciplined on disposal of such non-biodegradable wastes. In Japan, they have a waste separation plant that seperates the waste into recyclable and non-recyclable.

This is Kenya and we don't have the waste separation machine, thus we should ban them until we have the separation plants in place
If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

Applause Applause Applause But I am afraid it will be sacrificed on the table of "dont kill jobs. Plastic bags create employment" A few demos will be done, supported by a few "leaders", a political angle will be introduced and gone will be the idea.Sad
