i am told by a ugandan that the use of local language phrases by M7 was deliberate as the meanings and connotations in the local language are quite offensive/unaccepted and will rile up people's emotions

Museveni's response surely shows why intelligence without love; speaking in angelic language but having no love is nothing.

All the reasons he's given will be blown away before he realizes it.

Uganda is a good example of why presidents should have term limits.

Miniskirts should not be the thing occupying the minds of old men (average parliamentarian) let alone a 70+ year old leader of a country categorised as LDC

That's an old story @Obi, let us now discuss M7's response to your Western idols' pressure about gay rights, eh!

I think Musenveni's advisory is so good, did you read that response Applause Applause

First of all, I don't discriminate, I have western idols, eastern idols, christian, bhudhists, muslims etc.

His response does make alot of sense, and he is right in his own way, the problem is that he is unwilling to let other people choose their own path, Uganda is not just Museveni, there are another 30 million Ugandans, he should not purpot to represent them in personal choices, he is a political leader, not an "idol"smile smile . If a Ugandan lady has killer legs and she wants to flaunt them, let her be, trust her to make the right judgement on when to show leg and when to hide them.

I think your argument is out of context. He did not purport to decide anything, just like with our laws, parliament (the peoples representatives) brought to him a bill to assent to which he did.

I liked his response regarding polygamy.
