just watched her show on youtube and my conclusion is as follows;

1. Her target audience doesn't consist of old folks because her jokes do not appeal to them at all.I can understand why many of us are criticizing her.

2. Wanjiku is a darling to many school kids through her school tours.

3. NBO is not Kenya. I believe that most homes in upcountry areas tune in to her show for entertainment.
I would do the same.

4.She was riding on a strong brand 'churchill' which has a national outlook.Her success will now be determined by how diverse she can be so as to reach a wider target.

What do our comedians do with their lives when they are not doing comedy?

If things hit rock bottom what will she fall back to?.

I see eric's brother trying to make a comeback but the 'spark' is just not there,yet he used to be my fav.

My teenagers switched channels after 10 minutes and they were really looking forward to the programme.

Those are chanukad teens with a taste for classy comedy because of exposure to variety and quality.

I discovered that the local programmes we nbians shun are a fav.in mashambani and mombasa.smile The actors are 'celebs'.

The kind of comments flying around in Social media including wazua just show the kind of defeatists that most Kenyans are..even if her show could not be compared to churchill,she has at least tried to progress .who said she was destined to be stuck in churchill's show.I'm sure Churchill's intention of bringing in artists on his show is for them to progress in the industry.Not like some kenyans whose comments show that they are never happy when their peers/colleagues prosper ...teacher WEWE SONGA MBELE .washana na shura waendelee ku croak croak mtoni...

boss! people need to learn from other people's experiences. there are paths that are beaten and seen to end up no where! remember - we called it BEFORE SHE HAD THE PROGRAM! she needs to innovate, making people laugh is serious business!

I still don't understand why are so defensive over this lady. No one says she has not tried, the effort is there for all to see. What most are saying is that she will need to up her game so that her progi has many seasons at CTZ. She has the option of ignoring critics as many advocate and watch her show fizzle out, or simply take the useful points raised and excel

@Sanity, we are not saying trying is wrong, we are saying she needs to up her game if she is to remain relevant. Of course she is trying to do her show so that people can watch, not just to enter into books of trying. Its good she started, she tried. We are now giving her feedback so that she can improve and do better. You can be sure if she retains it in its current form, even the shags guys @Kysse is talking about wont look at her twice.
