@Guru267 i respect your right to a dissenting opinion but its good to argue with facts.i shall defend the position of why this counter is a buy unlike Kenya Re.

As you are aware Sanlam was on a quest to buy stock in the open market in this company till it reaches 60%;as of November the deficit was approximately 4 Million shares for them to reach the promised land.I posted about this earlier, let me look for it so as to further elaborate the reason why i bet big on this.

Mibbz you are missing the point!

Today (18th Jan 2014),Panafrica vs Kenya Re,which one is a BUY ????

For those on Panafrica bus Dont sell until the trend changes..But for New comers i wouldnt advise a buy

@metaspolt really depends on profile of the potential investor.its akin to asking, would you buy NMG at ksh 310 or SGL at 28.

I wouldnt have advised anybody to buy above 80.00 coz target was 100. for fy 2013 results mind you. midterm to long term. let people do what they want, even sanlam is still buying!

What do you mean "sanlam is still buying"?

subject to confirmation, but im assuming they havent. Check @mibbz post above speculating on sanlam's actions

The silence is loud today.

No buyers for this share. If the situation repeats tomorrow, sellers will get desperate and you will get an avalanche of supply!

Market correction when the index is already at oversold levels!!

This market is getting hotter each day

100 shares trade at 128!!

We know this game. This is what is called desperation.

Lets see how it gets tomorrow!

Waiting for CFC at 100 bob with possible revisions once good supply comes in from last week entrees (T4 isnt cleared yet)

The HFCK signal today isnt good.YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS TO EQUITY et all

@Metaspoilt;results are due on Friday.supply is currently higher than demand and there have been many trades in the 129-128 region today;its a case of how good shall the results be.if there is a bonus issue no dount this thing shall even go higher.A good dividend shall mute the stock and possibly edge it a bit lower.so lets wait, its just 2 days to go

@metaspoilt. I have noted with great concern that you are trying to predict what will happen to a stock in the next few minutes, hours and days. And you are trying to ride that perceived trend.

Im no expert but i do know, its the easiest way to lose money in stocks, especially if you try hop fom one stock to another in quick succession.

I dont hold any Panafrik shares.

I take short term trades often buying at correction and selling when high.

85% i have been successful.

This year alone i am around 33% Net.

The only share i hold now is CFC stanbic and HFCK.CFC bought at 85 like 3 weeks ago.( Previosly bought the same share at 54 sold at 68,bought at 63 sold at 90 and bought at 85 and looking to add more at 95-100)

HFCK bought at 26 sold at 34,bought at 30 and sold 50% today at 33.50

Am sorry you missed out on the Pan Africa ride as you hoped around and 33% is a decent return for the year till now; mr market can be a shark at times so all the best.Allowme to ask, what are your average one year returns on that strategy? Trying to compare it with other strategies
