The stock market returns at 20% average for the last 5 years are ok compared to the 6 to 7 % in the residential apartment investment. Hotel investment passes these 2 to around 40% return if capital gain is included in the calculation.

Open a CDS account with central bank and park the money in short term treasury bills. The returns in the next two years will outstrip the NSE.

Less than 10% but guaranteed safety. Would you rather bet on 20%, 30%, 40% return and lose the principal or bet on smaller return and maintain your principal?

Tomorrow is FOMC minutes. An important change in market direction should happen.

Please note. If I am wrong and the stock market does better than the treasuries the investor will still have his money, albeit with smaller returns.

BUT..
If I am right and the stock market experiences a BIG correction this investor will be stuck and may lose the principal. Still, it doesn't hurt to get more advice elsewhere.

Also, if you can, buy Gold. The physical thing.

ok. The hotel investment offers 20% return on rental income and 40% return on both rent plus capital gain and its a safe investment with minimal risk.

Mr.Big Cash, please treat most of the advise offered here with the contempt it deserves. If those people advising you on how to invest your capital were so good, they would be rich.Do your own research.Capital seeking ideas from poor people is dangerous capital....

Put in KCB or HFCK..

It will be worth 14million in a years time while you earn a cool 60k per month just in dividends!

Nothing can beat that!

Are you sure? Double in one year? Why?

KCB will announce an EPS of 5bob and a DPS of 2.6
HFCK will announce an EPS of 3bob and a DPS of 1.5..

With a conservative P/E of 10 and a dividend yield of 5% it gives a price of 50bob and 30bob respectively

Not bad, are you single @Guru?
